SETTING OUT TO CAPTURE ATTENTION

Venturing into the Out Of Home advertising scene, MOBILED’s goal was to capture attention straight from the get-go. With advertising billboards mushrooming in the cities, it was getting harder to attract potential audiences’ attention. We wanted a way to advertise without having to pay million-dollar premiums for advertising spaces, hoping that it will generate ROI. That is how big players spend their advertising budget. Not for us. We’ve got a better idea.

INSPIRED BY NOSTALGIA, INNOVATED BY EXPERIENCE

MOBILED’s conception was inspired by the “Milo Van” which was famous in the 1950s for screening movies at night and broadcasting newsreels from the Information Department. Locals from all walks of life would flock to places where the vehicle was sighted to join in on the fun, creating a lively atmosphere.

TAKING IT TO THE NEXT LEVEL

Anyone can put up advertisements on an LED screen but you gotta know where to put it up. There is no point spending big bucks on big billboards if you are not reaching the right target audience. A visit to Shanghai World Expo 2010 where there were LED screens mounted on a truck to provide way-finding information for visitors ignited a spark in our minds. That’s how you put two and two together.

MOBILED’s creation was derived from the need for a new medium to fill the gap between conventional Out-of-Home mediums and to allow advertisers to go directly to the target group. What do you get when you combine a mobile truck, equipped with a huge LED screen, which purpose is to provide an unforgettable user experience? From an inspiration, we put them together with current market needs, and MOBILED was born. A truck built by advertisers, for advertisers.
